North Park features large heards of elk with excellent bull:cow ratios. Big game includes moose, elk, bighorn sheep, mule and white tail deer, antelope, bear, and cougar. Waterfowl hunting is available on the Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge as well as other areas. There is approximately 664,949 acres of land available for public hunting.
